Our Story
A Family Home in the Heart of Umbria
I am an Italian-American from New York, with roots in the Abruzzo and Umbria regions. I travel back and forth multiple times a year with my parents, my siblings, their children, and our extended family and friends.
We fell completely in love with central Italy — its landscapes, its flavors, its warmth. I bought Casale Carla so that our family and friends would always have a comfortable, spacious place to stay together, where all of us could truly fit and feel at home.
I chose this house for its central location in Italy, its proximity to Rome and Florence, the many destinations reachable from Perugia Airport, the Sagrantino wine region of Montefalco, the extraordinary food of Umbria, and the sheer beauty of the Umbrian countryside.
